I haven't benn working on this at all.

A place to practice calligraphy needs to be set up in my studio.  Until then it is very hard to find a place to practice.

I will get it done!

Have a blessed day.

First trial

Last week I got out the new inks and started to practice Calligraphy.  I had forgotten more than I remembered.

I started with a basic alphabet and my hands do not want to go the way the lines are supposed to.  (I have rheumatoid arthritis in both hands with minor deformity.)  I will have to work to find a way to do what needs to be done with what I have.

The purpose of the relearning of special writing is to document/journal about each family member.

My mother wrote backhand.  It is the opposite of italics.  If I can find any of her letters to me I will try to use her type of handwriting for the journaling for her pages in my scrapbook.

My father mostly printed as he was trained as a geological engineer.  His handwriting is already learned.  (He always wrote my notes to get me out of school.  (LOL)

Have a blessed day.

Initial post

I started learning Calligraphy over thirty years ago.  When I got my tools out all of my ink had dried out but the pens are in great condition.

There have been two practice sessions and then I will start on the "real" stuff.

Have a blessed day.
