First trial

Last week I got out the new inks and started to practice Calligraphy.  I had forgotten more than I remembered.

I started with a basic alphabet and my hands do not want to go the way the lines are supposed to.  (I have rheumatoid arthritis in both hands with minor deformity.)  I will have to work to find a way to do what needs to be done with what I have.

The purpose of the relearning of special writing is to document/journal about each family member.

My mother wrote backhand.  It is the opposite of italics.  If I can find any of her letters to me I will try to use her type of handwriting for the journaling for her pages in my scrapbook.

My father mostly printed as he was trained as a geological engineer.  His handwriting is already learned.  (He always wrote my notes to get me out of school.  (LOL)

Have a blessed day.
